In 1979, Netball game was first introduced in Pakistan at school, college and university levels. Initially it was not well acknowledged in Pakistan like other games at National level due to the lack of infra-structure and non existence of Netball federation. However in the end of 1996-97, a Federation named Pakistan Federation of Netball (PNF) was founded by young national athlete Mr. Mudassar Arian. The Netball became popular with the passage of time due to the endless efforts of PNF. As a result in 1998, the International Netball Federation and Asian Netball Federation granted affiliation to the PNF which enhanced its credibility manifold both at National and International levels. Over the yester years all the members struggled very hard to promote PNF so that reaches new heights of success and fame all over Pakistan

These dedicated and devoted members are Mr. Abdul Razzaq Arain Chairman, Mr. Zafar Iqbal Awan President, Mr. Mudussar Arain Secretary General, Mr. Maqbool Ahmed Coordinator and Mr. Mohammad Khalid Perviaz who left no stone unturned to support and sustain the PNF. The Netball game was initially played by Women only but subsequently it got popular amongst men also. Every year PNF organizes National Netball Championship matches for both Men & Women. Moreover, PNF is also conducting coaching and National umpiring courses to enhance the capability of its players and umpires.
